The All Blacks took with them on their tour of Australia a dozen New Zealand footballs for the New South Wales Rugby Union but after playing with them in Sydney had to adapt themselves to various makes of ball. The ball used for Rugby in Australia is heavier than the New Zealand one and is. also narrower and longer. Mr A. W. Wesney, who returned with Mr V. L. George to Invercargill after the tour said'that the Australian ball was much more difficult to kick accurately than those used in New Zealand.
