The singles will be played in the morning and the fourball in the afternoon. Players 'are requested to bring a plate. QUERY CLUB MEETING. The termination of a successful season took place last night when the Query Club held a “Shipwreck Party.” Games were played, and later in the evening Mr Barton gave an interesting address and showed slides of Abyssinia. The serving of supper concluded a happy function. PERSONAL. Messrs H. Lawson (president), N. C. C. Shepherd (secretary) and W. McGill left yesterday afternoon for Hawera to attend the Automobile Conference. : \ MINIATURE RIFLES. The following are the scores for the weekly shoot of the South Featherston Club on Tuesday:—J. Lumsden 97, Miss Cross 97, Mrs Lumsden 97. - ' Martinborough have challenged the South Featherston Club for the Pragnell Cup..« The match will take place on Monday at South Featherston. The Featherston Club has a challenge in against the winners. ■ The annual Griffin Memorial match between Greytown and South Featherston will be shot at Grey town this evening. The return match Wellington v Wairarapa will take place on Saturday on the South Featherston range. BOWLING CLUB MEETING. The annual meeting of the Featherston Bowling Club was held in the club pavilion last night. The presiddent, Mr F. W. Smith, occupied, the chair, and some fifteen members attended. The president asked members to stand in silence out of respect for the late Mr Wm. Benton, who was a foundation member and a life member of the club. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. The president presented the trophies won during the past season (excepting the pairs winner which Mr Bloxam presented) to the following players: — Singles, Mr G. O’Neale; pairs, Mr F. W. Smith and J. Higgison; rinks, J. W. Hyland, L. James, G. O’Neale and W. Higgison. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr R. W. Matthews (re-elected); president, Mr J. W. Card; vice-presidents, Messrs L. James and B. J. Davis; hon secretary, Mr H. Rolls; treasurer, Mr H. Bloxam; hon auditor, Mr C. W. Ritchie; sole selector, Mr O’Neale; committee, Messrs J. W. lyland, J. Higgison,-.J. Moriarity, F. N. Smith, J. Anderson and B. Fuge. Messrs A. .King and J. Willett were fleeted members. A recommendation to the incoming committee was that a firmer hand be .aken in getting all championship games played to time. It was resolved chat all games on Saturdays should start at 1.30 p.m. sharp, the opening day to be the first Saturday in October if the green were ready.
