CONSTRUCTION MERELY POSTPONED. (Recd This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, August 25. Lord Craigmyle reasserted that the construction of ships for the Austra-lian-Canadian service was merely postponed. He added that it was unfortunate that high prices had come at a time when negotiations had matured and an agreement had been reached on the need for ships for the Pacific trade. It was encouraging that Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Britain were determined not to permit a vital British service to be swept away.
