1 A THRILLING DRAMA. , Endowed with many thrilling action . scenes and providing absorbing enter- : tainment, the screen triumph, “Mades Moiselle Docteur,” will be shown again tonight at the State Theatre. 1 Two great favourites are starred in this ' war-time spy drama. They are the blonde beauty of many Continental successes—Dita Parlo, and that popular Hollywood figure, who dominated the screen as a writer, director and actor for many years—Erich von Stroheim. “Mademoiselle Docteur” has been producer Max Schach’s favourite subject ever since some, time ago he announced that he had acquired a story woven around one of the most incredible characters of modern history, Dr. Anne Maria Lesser—the German woman spy who became known during the war as Mademoiselle Docteur. Other popular players gathered for leading roles in “Mademoiselle Docteur,” include John Loder, Claire Luce, Gyles Isham, Clifford Evans and John Abbott. “Gun Law,” starring George O’Brien will be another feature on the programme. Such well-known players as Ray Whitley, Robert Gleckler, Paul Everton, Francis McDonald, Ward Bond, Ethan Laidlaw and Lloyd Ingraham have prominent roles in the film. Tomorrow’s big feature will be “Angel,” the cast of which includes Marlene Dietrich, Herbert Marshall and Melvyn Douglas. It js a drama which should have an appeal to picturegoers.
