MASTER FAREWELLED

PRESENTATIONS AT WAIRARAPA COLLEGE Mr H. R. Thomson, M.A., a master of Wairarapa College, left Masterton yesterday to take up a position on the staff of the Government Correspondence School, Wellington. . Prior to the break-up for the term holidays, members of the staff and their wives assembled at morning tea to farewell Mr Thomson, who was presented with a clock as a token of their esteem. Mr G. W. Morice, who made the presentation referred to the fact that Mr Thomson was one of the original members of the teaching staff of the Wairarapa High School. The Principal, Mr G. G. Hancox, expressed the good wishes of the staff for Mr Thomson’s success in the future. At the afternoon assembly, the head girl, Alison Davie, presented Mr Thomson with a handsome mirror from the pupils of the college.
