Frost, 10.3 deg. General situation: An intense, anticyclone covers New Zealand with its centre over the South Island. Conditions are still rather disturbed in the north, but the principal storm centre is on the N.S.W. coast, where a cy clone is developing. Forecast: Light to moderate south easterly to easterly winds, freshening at times about the straits. Weather: Fair to cloudy with some morning fog or drizzle possible, mainly east of ranges. Moderate day but cold night temperatures.
