HOCKEY NOTES (“Times-Age” Special.) The team to represent the junior boys against Dalefield on Saturday at Greytown will be the same as that chosen last week. Any player not available should notify, (or ring) Graham Barnard immediately, who will make any other necessary arrangements. , The team for the suceeding week will be arranged also by him. On Saturday there will be a further trial game for the Senior B players in readiness for playing Wellington at Masterton on September 3. Any local player chosen, and not available should notify Mr Spiers, phone No. 1517, immediately. The knock-out competition for the Kia Toa cup will commence on September 10. The draw for the first round is:—Excelsior v College; Kia Ora v Kiwi; Te Ore Ore v Carterton; Greytown, a bye. At last night’s meeting of the Wairarapa Ladies’ Association, matches with Wellington Senior B and Junior representatives were accepted. Mr W. Harding was appointed manager. The ladies representative team is unfortunate in the loss of Misses Rhodes and Vincent from the team' on account of sickness. The remainder of the team will leave Masterton by bus early tomorrow morning. PERSONAL Mrs A. Alexander and Mrs H. Maloney will occupy Mr and Mrs Maloney’s residence during the vacation. Mr and Mrs E. G. Thomas and family are staying with Mr Walden, McMaster Street. Mr R. Bly, of Woodville, is the guest of Mr and Mrs W. G. K. Wiggins, Kuratawhiti Street. - Mr W. E. Everett has left tin a tour of the South Island.
