An X-ray examination revealed that a piece of bone had been chipped from Bradman’s tibia. He is unlikely to play cricket again during the tour. Fingleton has been pronounced unfit to play in the Test match and, with Chipperfield convalescent and McCormick suffering from neuritis, the Australians are reduced to twelve fit men.
