CENSUS OF JEWS
• SEARCHING INVESTIGATION IN ITALY. ROME, August 22. A census of Jews throughout Italy, including their overseas possessions, is being taken today. A questionnaire has been distributed to all families known to be wholly or partly of Jewish blood. Those who have abjured the Jewish religion must indicate their new faith and when they embraced it. Jews who have assumed Italian nationality must indicate the country to which they originally belonged. Those holding Fascist party tickets must state when they jqined the party.
