WELLINGTON TOURNAMENT. SINGLES TO E. A. ROUSSELL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Payton, of Masterton, who played well throughout the tournament, showed excellent combination against Misses N. Fleming and F. Fernie, but they lacked the latter’s versatility and accuracy. Misses Fleming and Fernie played excellently, Miss Fleming, from backcourt, often making the for Miss Fernie, at the net, to smash the shuttle for an ace.
