At the Victoria Park races Stretto (9.3), having his first run for a long time, finished second to Brown Baroness (7.11) in the first division of the Flying Handicap, going down in the last few strides. Stretto’s performance was an excellent one. Racing at Moonee Valley on Saturday, the Cape Horn —Lilock six-year-old gelding North Cape recorded his fourth successive win when he defeated Sherekhan and Dornford in the Plenty Hurdle Race of £4OO, two miles and a furlong.
