RAILWAY DISASTER
TRAIN'ROLLS DOWN BANK IN INDIA FEARS OF VERY HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY MISSING. (Recd This Day, 9.50 a.m.) MADRAS, August 21. When a sudden cloudburst washed away a section of the line near Trichinopoly today, a train was derailed and rolled down an embankment. It is officially stated that at least twenty-five persons were killed, but the survivors believe that many more are dead, as the train was packed with pilgrims and Indian refugees from Burma. It is reported that an entire wedding party of twenty is missing.
