THE AUSTRALIAN SURCHARGE (Recd This Day, 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Minister of Defence (Mr H. V. C. Thorby) stated that when the transTasman air mail service had been established, the surcharge on letters sent to New Zealand would be the same as that on letters sent to England by air.
