CHURCH SERVICES
“Re-digging Old Wells” is the subject for the morning service at the Methodist Church to-morrow, and in the evening “Our Witness for Christ.” The preacher will be the Rev. Frederick J. Parker. In the afternoon, the Choir will render a service of praise at the public hospital. After the evening service a social hour will be spent in the schoolroom: At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow special services will be held to mark the church anniversary. The music will be of a special nature, with extra items by both senior and junior choirs. Paster C. H. Skuse will be the preacher and the topics in keeping with the historic occasion. Old residents of Kuripuni are invited to take part in these services. The members of Knox Church are reminded of the congregational meeting to be held to elect elders at the 11 a.m. service tomorrow. The subject will be “Church Leadership.” Bright and happy services will be conducted at the Salvation Army tomorrow by Major and Mrs Mahaffie. A special service has been arranged at Mauriceville in the afternoon at 2.45 o’clock, when Mrs Church, a member of the Women’s Institute, will be the speaker, and she will give a most interesting address entitled “At Home for the Census.” Members of the Women’s Institute are specially invited to be present. All are heartily invited to the Army's services, and especially to the Happy Gospel services on Sunday nights, which are attracting steadily increasing congregations.
