PURSUIT OF BANDITS
LARGE GANG ENGAGED NEAR ACRE BOMB OUTRAGES CONTINUE. TERRORISM IN VILLAGES. (Recd This Day, 12.20 p.m.) JERUSALEM, August 18. Two British soldiers were killed and three injured when three military columns, co-operating with aircraft, engaged a large gang of well-armed bandits near Acre. Hundreds of troops are extensively combing the country elsewhere. Bomb outrages continue and gangs are terrorising villages after nightfall, robbing the peasantry on behalf of the “Arab army?’
