Italy’s intention to perpetuate the part she has played in the Spanish civil war is revealed by an announcement -that the Italian Royal Academy has opened a competition for the best Architectural design for a shrine to be erected on Spanish .soil, “where battle was most sanguinary and the holocaust of Italian legionaries most generous in defence of Latin civilisation and Spanish independence.”
