IN ATTACKING NATIONAL PROBLEMS. TASMANIAN MINISTER’S CLAIM. (Recd This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18. Mr T. G. de L. D’Alton, Tasmanian Minister for Transport, who is proceeding to Australia by the Monterey, thus ending a 40,000 mile trip, said Australia was ahead of the United States in attacking the problems of unemployment, old age pensions and labour difficulties.
