WILFUL DAMAGE

POWER LINE INSULATORS BROKEN. During recent weekends a number of insulators on the 11,000 volt power lines in the Opaki district have been wilfully broken by vandals, who have also destroyed insulators on the railway telephone lines in the same area. As this practice is a particularly dangerous one a warning is issued that any offenders will be dealt with most severely if they are apprehended. Interference with the high voltage lines is likely to cause serious damage and considerable inconvenience to the public. The police have the matter in hand.
