Playing his first game of football for 18 years, Dr G. H. Thomson, New Plymouth, filled a last-minute vacancy when the Star junior team played Hillsborough on a recent Saturday. Dr Thomson, who represented Otago and Canterbury as a forward, distinguished himself by scoring a try, and his team won 11-3. j.
