CROQUET CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The sixth annual meeting of the Mauriceville Croquet Club was held at the residence of Mrs J. McKeawn. There was a fair attendance of members. The finances of the Club were reported to be in a sound position. Appreciation was expressed of the interest taken in the lawn by Mr P. Condon. Mrs McKeawn was elected president for the coming season, Mrs Scherf vicepresident and Mrs Freeman was reelected secretary. It was decided to hold a dance on October 6 and to open the season on October 20. At the conclusion of business Mrs McKeawn presented Mrs Trass, the retiring president, with a crystal toilet tray, in appreciation of her valuable services to the club. Mrs Duncan also presented the secretary, Mrs Freeman, with a crystal powder bowl. Members were afterwards entertained at afternoon tea by the president.
