AUSTRALIA v. AMERICA (Recd This Day, 1.50 p.m.) MANCHESTER (Mass), August 17. Miss N. Wynne (Australia) and two Americans, Miss A. Marble and Mrs S. Fabyan have reached the semi-finals in the women’s tennis match between Australia and America, Miss Wynne defeating Miss Lumb, 6/2, 6/3. Miss Coyne defeated Mrs Van Ryn, 6/2, 6/4 in the third round, and meets Miss Stammers in the quarter-final.
