INDIANS BEAT WHANGARET. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WHANGAREI, August 17. The Indian hockey team beat Whangarei by eleven goals to nil this afternoon. The local men were altogether outclassed, but they made a good showing on several occasions, being twice within an ace of scoring. The Indians as usual gave a fine exposition of the game. They were handicapped by the wet ground, but for which they would undoubtedly have added more goals.
