ARCHBISHOP O’SHEA
Celebration of silver JUBILEE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The episcopal silver jubilee of Archbishop O’Shea was marked by a Pontifical Mass of Thanksgiving at St Mary of the Angels today. The Bishops of Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin were present. The sermon was preached by the Very Rev Father D. Hurlet, S.M., Provincial of the Society of Mary. There was a full attendance of the clergy of the Diocese. Archbishop O’Shea leaves Auckland on August 25 to pay a visit to Rome.
