HONEYMOON TRAGEDY

DEATH OF MILLIONAIRE’S SON FOLLOWING ON EXPLOSION IN HUNTING LODGE. SECOND MAN NOT EXPECTED TO RECOVER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. MINDEMOYA (Ontario), Aug. 15. Daniel Dodge, aged 21, heir to a 9,000,000-dollar motor-car fortune, met a tragic death in the Lake District here today. He found a stick of dynamite at a hunting lodge where he was spending his honeymoon with a former telephone girl whom he married on August 2 after a romantic courtship. Dodge was drying the dynamite inside the lodge when it exploded. His face was mangled and his wife’s legs injured. The caretaker, Bryant, was also seriously injured and is not expected to recover. A launch was bringing the party back here when Dodge, apparently driven crazy with pain, suddenly jumped overboard in 90 feet of water. His body has not been recovered.
