DEATHS IN PALESTINE
OFFICER KILLED BY MINE SECOND JEW EXECUTED MURDER OF ARAB COLLEAGUE (Recd This Day, 9.45 a.m.) JERUSALEM, August 16. An unidentified British officer was killed and two soldiers wounded when a land-mine exploded under a military lorry near Acre. It is revealed that those killed in the bus outrage on Saturday were eight policemen. The second Jewish execution under British administration occurred at the Acre Gaol, when a policeman was hanged for the murder of an Arab colleague.
