WEDDING
MacGIBBON—STRINGFELLOW. A wedding of interest to Wairarapa residents was solemnised recently at St John’s Presbyterian Church, Wellington, when Miss Doris Stringfellow, formerly of Greytown, was married to Mr Cargill J. Mac Gibbon. The bride, who was escorted by her father, Mr J. Stringfellow, wore a graceful white eloque gown, and a draped lace veil and a sheaf of arum lilies completed a lovely ensemble. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Margaret Stringfellow, sister of the bride, wearing a draped frock with a floral motif on a cream background. Mr'R. F. Wilson acted as best man. A reception was afterward held at the Grand Hotel, where the guests were received by Mrs J. Stringfellow, mother of the bride, wearing a black mariette frock, and Mrs Wallis MacGibbon, Christchurch, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, wearing a smart black velvet ensemble relieved with white. The bride travelled in a brown tailored costume, with accessories to tone.
