WAR VETERAN
FUNERAL AT CLAREVILLE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The funeral of the late Mr John Boyd took place yesterday afternoon at the Clareville cemetery and was largely attended. The pall-bearers were Messrs Saville Smith, A. J. Lindop, R. Maitland, A. T. Murray, C. Holland and A. Robertson. At the cemetery “The Last Post” was sounded and comrades of the deceased dropped poppies into the grave. The coffin was dr"aped with the’ Union Jack and the South African flag. Wreaths from the R.S.A. and South African War Veterans were among the many floral emblems. The Rev R. Byers officiated at the graveside.
