AN EASY WIN
ALL BLACKS BEAT FEDERAL TERRITORY OPPONENTS OUTCLASSED CANBERRA, August 10. Hopelessly outclassed in every branch of the game, the Federal Capital Territory went down, 57-5 to the All Blacks today before one of the biggest crowds ever seen at the Manuka Oval. From the moment when the All Blacks opened their account with a fine try by Wright, 10 minutes after the start, the Territory team was unable to stem the steady All Black attack. The New Zealanders’ scoring was an unending succession of tries right up to the final whistle, when Dick went over. The All Blacks led at half-time by 24 to 5. They gave a wonderful display of clean, fast, football and a superb combination between the forwards and three-quarters, and the forwards speed in handling and understanding were a football object lesson.
