GETTING READY
» ITALY PREPARING FOR WAR MUSSOLINI’S BELLICOSE DECLARATION. PRIVILEGE OF BEARING ARMS. (Recd This Day, 9.50 a.m.) ROME, August 11. “Italy has no illusions about peace and is preparing for war,” declared Signor Mussolini, reviewing 25,000 officers and men. He added “that while guns are booming in so many parts of the WorlQ, illusion is folly and unpreparedness, a crime. We therefore are getting ready. Italians have only one privilege and ambition —to bear arms in defence of their fatherland.”
