HUNDRED DROWNED
SERIOUS FLOODS IN INDIA. HEAVY LOSS OF CATTLE. (Recd This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LUCKNOW, Aug. 9. One hundred persons and 1,100 cattle have been drowned in the Nonda district by floods, which are estimated to cover 400 square miles. Relief is hampered by washaways on the railways.
