FEATHERSTON
FIRE BRIGADE BALL. (“Times-Age” Special.) The members of the Featherston Fire Brigade are to be congratulated on the success of their ball which was held in the Anzac Hall last night. The decorated stage gave the hall a very gay appearance, and the balloon, confetti and streamer dances added to the gaiety of the scene. There were dancers present from all parts of the Wairarapa. Firemen W. Davidson and Chalmers carried out the duties of M.C’s. in a most able manner. A novel way of announcing the dances was by the ringing of a firebell erected on the stage. The decorations were the work of Misses Zena and Jean Tutbury. The supper was in the hands of a very capable committee of ladies. The brigade wish to thank all who made'donations or assisted in any way to make the ball such an outstanding success.
