NEW WHEAT
HIGHLY RESISTANT TO RUST DISEASE DISCOVERY AT CAMBRIDGE LONDON, August 8. 'After 10 years of research Professor Engledow, Draper’s Professor of Agriculture at Cambridge University, has discovered a new wheat believed to be superior to any of the British varieties. Five crops proved a yield 10 per cent higher than the best of other varieties. The straw is 6in shorter and considerably stouter, while the grain is highly resistant to rust disease.
