CHARGES OF INTOXICATION (By Telegraph— Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 8. On a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a car John Walter Monk, aged 25, single, railway yardman, was sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment with hard labour. For unlawfully converting a car to his own use he was placed on probation for a year. William George Cook, aged 38, labourer, admitted intoxication in charge of a car and was sentenced to three weeks’ hard labour.
