ACCIDENTALLY SHOT

MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) • HAMILTON, Aug. 8. Serious injury was received by Gordon Frederick Marks, aged 25, when he was struck by a bullet accidentally discharged from a pea-rifle. Mr Marks, who is a resident of Onehunga, was sitting in front of a boat on , one of the back waters of Lake Wai- ' kare„ Ohinewai. The gun, after being loaded by a friend, was accidentally discharged, and the bullet lodged in Mr Marks’s chest. He was brought to hospital in a serious condition.
