MEN’S ASSOCIATION. THIRD ROUND DRAW. The following is the draw for the remainder of the third round of the senior competition:— August 13: Carterton v Wesley, at Carterton; Dalefield v Greytown, at Greytown; Kiwi a bye. August 20: Kiwi v Greytown, at Masterton; Dalefield v Wesley, at Carterton; Carterton a bye. August 27: Carterton v Kiwi, at Masterton; Wesley v Greytown, at Masterton; Dalefield a bye. JUNIOR COMPETITION. On Saturday the junior competition for the Burgess-Cole Cup will commence and the following is the draw: August 13: College A v Carterton, at Masterton; College B v Wesley A, at Masterton; Wesley B v Dalefield, at Carterton; Greytown a bye. August 20: Wesley B v College A, at Masterton; College B v Grey town, at Greytown; Dalefield v Carterton, at Carterton; Wesley A a bye. August 27: College B v Wesley B, at Masterton; Dalefield v Greytown, at Greytown; Wesley A v Carterton, at Carterton; College A a bye. September 3: College A v College B, at Masterton; Wesley A v Wesley B, at Masterton; Grey town v Carterton, -at Carterton; Dalefield a bye. September 10: Dalefield v College A, at Carterton; Wesley A v Grey town, at Masterton; Carterton v Wesley B, at Masterton; College B a bye. Sept 17: College A v Wesley A, at Masterton; College B v Dalefield, at Carterton; Wesley B v Greytown, at Greytown; Carterton a bye. Sept 24: Greytown v College A, at Greytown; Wesley A v Dalefield, at Carterton; College B v Carterton, at Masterton; Wesley B a bye.
WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION. TOURNAMENT ARRANGEMENTS. A meeting of the Wairarapa Women’s Hockey Association was held in Masterton last evening, the president (Mr C. Spiers) presiding. In connection with the Dominion tournament correspondence was received from the Gisborne Association with reference to accommodation for visiting teams. Final arrangements were left in the hands of the manager. Several players notified the selector that they would not be available fbr the trip. The team will travel to Gisborne by motor bus. It was decided to play a junior trial game on August 20 at Lansdowne and to start the Morris Cup games on the following Saturday. ■The Wellington Association is to be invited to send senior and junior teams to play in Masterton on August 27 or September 3. The Excelsior Club were granted permission to play a Wanganui club on the first available Saturday in September. All players selected who are unable to go to Gisborne are requested to not-1 ify the Selector immediately.
