LIVELY WRESTLING
DETTON AND NUMA DRAW. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Leo Numa, of Seattle, known as the Adonis of wrestlers, made an auspicious first appearance in a Wellington ring at the Town Hall last night when he held his own with. Dean Detton, Utah, ex-heavyweight champion of the world. Detton displayed all . his customary aggressiveness, science, and speed, but Numa was equal to every call made upon him and created a most favourable impression. Much clever wrestling was sandwiched in with plenty of rougher work, and a fair-sized house was kept in an uproar. Detton took a fall in the fifth round, with flying tackles and Numa evened with a fall in the seventh round with his specialty hammer throw. Numa scaled 16.8 and Detton 15.2.
