GOLF TEAMS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following are the Greytown Golf Club’s teams to play 'Carterton: — A team to play at Carterton: —H. E. Webster, A. C. Feast, H. R. Feast, T. R. Ingley, H. W. Feast, E. Maddison, J. E. Feast, H. B. Bull.' B team to play at Greytown: C. Gold, C. Stunell, H. G. Carter, N. McLeod, J. W. Tate, A. G. Rhodes, W. Tully, B. Haigh. Emergencies: A. Webster, A. Oakey. ST. LUKE’S LADIES’ GUILD. The members of the St. Luke’s Ladies’ Guild held their monthly meeting at the Vicarage, being the guests of Canon and’Mrs Sykes. Eighteen members were present, and apologies were received from Mesdames Barcham, Tully, Smallwood, Richards, Wiggins and Miss Tate. Members stood in silence as a token of sympathy to Mr and Mrs H. G. Carter and family in their recent bereavement. A vote of thanks was passed to Mesdames Rees and Day for having cleaned the church brasswork during the past three months. Mrs Slater promised to carry on the same good work. A report on the successful Apron Social was given, and the remainder of the meeting was spent in discussing matters relating to the Paddy’s Market which is being arranged for November 4. Afternoon tea was served, and members expressed their thanks to their host and hostess. PERSONAL. Mr Eric John Feast, son of Mr J. C. Feast, Ahikouka, will leave on Monday for Murchison where he has received an appointment on the. engineering staff of the railway construction survey. HOCKEY TEAM. The folowing will represent Greytown juniors against Old Boys:—Bouzaid, Hiscox, Anker, Hay, Day, Knight, Barnard, McKenzie, Keltie, Harris, Harris, K. Trotman. For the time and place of the match players are asked to communicate with Mr Maloney tonight.
