THE CONTROL OF LABOUR RELATIONS. BRITISH TRADES CONGRESS PROPOSALS. (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 10.8 a.m.) RUGBY, August 3. A resolution on British colonial policy, in the name of the General Council, 1 appears on the agenda of the seventieth meeting of the Trades Union Congress, opening at Blackpool on September 5. The resolution favours the provision of labour departments and inspectorate systems in the colonies, the promotion of responsible union organisation among workers, the introduction of workers’ compensation schemes and the application of the appropriate International Labour Office conventions.
