KNOX CHURCH

WOMEN’S MISSINONARY UNION. The annual meeting of Knox P.W.M.U., Masterton, was held recently, the Rev. J. Davie presiding over a fair attendance. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs Clark; secretary, Mrs J. D. Ross; treasurer, Mrs Beecroft.' Letters of sympathy were sent to several members who were unable 'to be present owing to illness. Despite the difficulties that have had to be faced since the beginning of the year the work of the P.W.M.U. still progressed. Encouraging reports have come in from the special secretaries. The Rev. J. Davie expressed appreciation of the work done during the past year. Votes of thanks were accorded to Mr Davie for occupying the chair; to Mr A. D. Low, auditor, and! to the hospital visitors.
