MEETING OF MASTERTON ■ BRANCH.

Mrs K. Groves presided over a fairly well attended meeting of the Women’s' Division, of the’ Farmers’ Union, held yesterday in Chilton Buildings. Sympathetic reference was made to the illness of Mrs Rue and Mrs Engstrom agreed to act as secretary in the meantime.- • . - The usual business was dealt with and members were urged to pay their subscriptions. J - .. • - It was decided to hold a special shop day on September 7 in the Rest Room. Contributions for all stalls will be gratefully received. A parcel: of warm clothing is. to be dispatched immediately to Hawke’s Bay where relief for flood sufferers is still urgently needed. Mrs Wickham, Dominion President of the Women’s Division, is to be invited to attend the next Wairarapa Provincial council meeting.
