GERMAN SEAPLANE DAMAGED IN ALIGHTING (Recd This Day, 11.50 a.m.) HORTA (Azores), August 2. j The seaplane Nordwind, conveying Herr Hans Bertram, in alighting collide with a yacht, damaging the nose and a wing. i H Herr Hans Bertram left Germany recently on a round-the-world passenger and commercial air service flight. He planned to make the first stop at Baghdad, and then to fly to Karachi, Calcutta, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila, Guam, Wake Island, Midway Island, Honolulu, San Francisco, New York, Lisbon and Berlin, arriving there on August 3. The total distance is 24,400 miles.
