PUBLIC NOTICES. WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. MIKI MIKI SPECIAL LOAN—I93B. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. "VOTICE is hereby given that at a Meeting of the Wairarapa Electricpower Board held on Thursday the 21st day of July, 1938, the following resolution of which due notice had. been given, was passed, viz.:— “In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 17 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926” and 'with the consent of the ratepayers of the Miki Miki special rating area in the Wairarapa Electric-power District hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than threefourths of the ratepayers in the said special, rating area the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said special rating area is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: — For the purpose of extending the Board’s distribution lines a distance of approximately two and a quarter miles along and adjacent to the Opaki and Miki Miki Roads, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board authorises the raising of a loan of Seven Hundred Pounds (£700) at Three Pounds Ten Shillings per centum per annum for a period of ten years.” MIKI MIKI SPECIAL RATING AREA. All that land in the Wellington Land District in the Masterton County bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western bank of the Ruamahanga River situated on the most northern corner of Section 33 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District and following in a westerly direction generally the south eastern, south western and portion of the western boundary of Section 37 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District to the north eastern corner of Section 36 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District; thence following again in a westerly direction the northern boundary .of the Wairarapa Electric-power District to the north west corner of Section 58 Block XI Miki Miki Survey District; thence following in a southerly direction generally the boundary of the said Power District to the south west corner of Section 67 Block XI Miki Miki Survey District; thence following in an easterly direction the southern boundaries of the said Section 67 and Section 66 Blocks XI and XII Miki Miki Survey District to the south east corner of the said Section 66; thence following the western and northern boundaries of Section 65 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District to -its north east corner; thence following in a southerly direction the western boundary of Section 24 and in an easterly direction the southern boundaries of Sections 24 and 47 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District to the Waipoua River; thence continuing the southern boundary of the said Section 47 by a right line across the Waipoua River to its eastern bank; thence following in a southerly direction the eastern bank of the Waipoua River to where it meets the north western boundary of Section 34 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District; thence following the north western boundary of the said Section 34 to its most northerly corner and continuing such boundary by. a right line across Section 33 Block XII Miki Miki Survey District to the western bank of the Ruamahanga River; thence following in a northerly direction the western bank of the Ruamahanga River to the starting point. AND notice is hereby given that the above Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a Meeting of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board to be held on Thursday the 18th day of August 1938, at the Board’s Office, Memorial Square, Carterton, at 10.30 a.m. DATED this 27th day of July, 1938.
