COMMON GAMING HOUSE
ACCUSED JINED £lOO (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, August 1. Peter Healy, charged with having kept premises at Wanganui East as a common gaming-house, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court, Wanganui. Detective-Sergeant J. K. Robertson said when a search was made under warrant betting materials were found. The magistrate, Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., said this was Healy’s fourth conviction. On two previous occasions he had been fined £lOO. A fine of £lOO was imposed. Time was allowed for payment, with two months’ imprisonment in default.
