4 BUDGE PLAYING WITH MAKO IN DAVIS CUP NEW YORK. July 31. America’s famous Davis Cup tennis pair. Budge and Mako, on arrival here today indignantly denied that they had split up their doubles partnership. They said that they expected to play together in the Davis Cup and other tournaments this season. Budge, referring to the report that he was turning professional, declared: “That is entirely out of the question.”
