COSY THEATRE
“SEVEN SINNERS.” One of the finest pieces of entertainment to come from the British studios is the Gaumont-British comedy-melo-drama, “Seven Sinners,” which stars Edmund Lowe and Constance Cummings, will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre. Edmund Lowe is a fine selection for the star part, and was well worth his importation from America. His “opposite,” Constance Cummings, fits in beautifully, and the partnership is one that will be remembered. Briefly, the story concerns the activities of a gun-running organisation which wrecks trains, not as a hobby, but as a cloak for the identity of the principals. The supporting cast is well-sustained by Thomy Bourdelle, Felix Aylmer, T Bourdelle and others. Will Hay has departed from the Narkover tradition and become Mr Stubbins, a broken-down solicitor in his latest film “Where There’s a Will,” at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow. He has an excellent cast in support.
