WALK TO THE OLYMPIC GAMES. INTENDING COMPETITOR TURNS BACK. (Recd This Day, 10.5 a.m.) CAIRO, August 1. The change in the location of the Olympic Games has disappointed Fritz Steinghez, who set out in February, 1937, to walk to Japan from Switzerland, to participate. He hiked through France and Italy and walked twelve miles daily. He boarded a ship for Egypt and now is walking back to Switzerland across Central Europe. He has not made up his mind whether to walk to Helsingfors.
