MANCHUKUO RAIDED
ENTERED BY CHINESE, EIGHTH ARMY VILLAGES ORGANISED’AND RAILWAY CUT. JAPANESE TAKING HASTY ACTION. (Recd This Day, 1.25 p.m.) . SHANGHAI, July 31. Following the tactics which' previously have been so effective, the Chinese Communists’ Eighth Route Army has entered Manchukuo and organised villages against the Japanese and cut the Peking-Jehol railway. The Japanese are denuding North China of troops and are also despatching forces from Tsingtao to Manchukuo instead of Hankow in the hope of rectifying the position, which is strained by the situation on the Russian border, where the trouble is becoming daily more tense.
