GOLD BRICK STOLEN
EFFORT TO LOCATE THIEVES IN NEW GUINEA'
(Recd This Day, 10.50 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day.
A gold brick valued at £lOOO was stolen from the offices of the New Guinea Company at Wau on Friday. The New Guinea police, in an effort to prevent the thief escaping from the mandated territory, searched the luggage of passengers by the air liner Carinthia, which arrived at Brisbane yesterday from Salamaua.
