OBITUARY
MR J. MAUGHAN BARNETT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Mr John Maughan Barnett, organist at the Christchurch Cathedral for the last 16 months, died suddenly yesterday, aged 72. A prominent organist in New Zealand for the last 45 years Mr Barnett held an important position in three of the four main centres. He came to Christchurch after having been city organist at Auckland for 20 years.
