INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB PAIRS. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club’s pairs section is nearing its completion, with Kennard and Curtin still leading with eleven wins and two losses. Several other pairs have three losses, and the competition will be very keen for the remaining games. The results of last week’s play are as follow: —Pickering 16 beat Ferguson 15, Lewis 14 beat Hendry 10, Kennard 17 beat Reeves 10, Vincent 16 beat L. Roff 12, Dixon 18 beat Fenton 15, Thompson 17 beat Vincent 16, Joyce 18 beat Edwards 9, Hendry 23 beat Finlayson 13. Pickering 18 beat Davies 10, C. Roff 24 beat Davies 16, Lewis 20 beat Reeves 10. The following are the games arranged for this week: —Tuesday: 7 p.m., No. 1, Dixon v. L. Roff; No. 2, Leigh v. Joyce; 8 p.m., No. 1, Fenton v. Ferguson; No. 2, Davies v. Vincent; 9 p.m., No. 1, Hendry v. Kennard; No. 2, C. Roff v. Edwards. Thursday: 7 p.m., No. 1, Reeves v. Leigh; No. 2, Thompson v. Ferguson; 8 p.m., No. 1, Lewis v. Joyce; No. 2, C. Roff v. L. Roff; 9 p.m., No. 1, Pickering v. Reeves; No. 2, Finlayson v. Fenton. Players must be present for all the remaining games, otherwise the penalty will be strictly enforced.
